Have you ever looked back on your life, and said, "WOW I've experienced A LOT!" I just had one of those moments today. I guess I'm able to say that not many have the opportunity to be where I've been or do what I've done in just the past 6 or so years.
I've attended a Marine Corps graduation ceremony, and have kept in contact with someone through only writing letters for 5 months. I've had the pride of calling my husband a Marine. I've moved 21 hours away from home in a 2 door car stuffed with everything I could fit, so I could be near my (now-ex) husband.
I can tell you that I've walked on the white beaches of Pensacola, FL. I have seen the inside of 3 military bases. I've lived through a major hurricane and saw just how much destruction nature can do to a town. I've seen jets fly so close to the ground I could see the pilot, and I've seen the Blue Angels fly. I've stopped my car in the middle of the road or stopped what I was doing to look at the closest American flag and put my hand over my heart when its evening 'colors' because that's what you're supposed to do. AND SHOULD.
I survived 2 deployments, both of which helped me become a more independent person and I proved to myself that I CAN be on my own. I've also had the opportunity to work for some AMAZING people, who now consider family and had a job that I couldn't wait to go to work the next day. I've lived in 3 different states, and have been traveled to so many different places, I can't count them on two hands.
Out of all these things (and more) that I've seen and done, most importantly I've become a mother. I had the opportunity to carry a child inside me, to hear the first cry from her mouth, to watch her grow, see her first steps, and hear her first word.
It's so amazing what happens when you open yourself up to taking chances, "going with the flow", just letting life lead you instead of worrying about what you need to do in the next minute, hour, or day. I needed to stop myself for a second and remember that. I've made some incredible friends, (Stacy! Ryan!) met my AMAZING husband, and made some memories that I wouldn't have if I didn't take a chance.
Life has a way of working itself out. I just have to trust it. God has a plan for everyone, including me.
And I can't wait to see where He will take me next.

Great post! I, too, am a "go with the flow" kind of person and by being so, have had some amazing experiences!
